The Grinning Moon

Waiting for the dreams that never seem
to come, I let my padded feet touch the floor.
As silent as the shadows on my wall,
I grab my keys and slip out the back door.

It springs to life, and can of Coke to soothe
the nerves, my world is two foggy cones of light.
My fans are on high, your CD starts to play
its songs, and I'm off, racing into the night.

Hug the left lane, soaring past 2 AM.
No mortal on the road can pass me by
As I break a hundred, twice the limit.
My wheels lift off the ground, I start to fly.

Transcending sight and sound, I am one with
the machine. I drive amoung the stars.
Darkness broken only by the grinning moon.
I smile back, as we gaze down upon the cars.

I descend, and come crashing back
to earth. Home at last, it's where I'll stay.
So if you're sad or alone, call my name, We'll get
into my car. Drive our cares away.

At Least She Said Thank You

At least she said thank you
When I handed her my heart
Giving nothing in return
But gratitude's a start

She thanks me for my time
At the start and at the end
She thanks me for the ride
Tells me that I'm her friend

She's the most polite girl
That I have ever known
She even gives me thanks
As she breaks me stone by stone

Why she still talks to me
I haven't the faintest clue
I know she doesn't care at all
But at least she says "Thank You."

Well, "You're Welcome."

Cut The Cancer Out

Her venomous tongue scalds him.
She chews him right to the bone.
She throws him in when he can't swim.
Staring down from her glass throne.

He hangs up and she calls right back.
This argument has gotten stale.
His vision fades from red to black.
No end in sight to this sad tale.

He said, she said, who said that?
How did I disrespect you?
Lies go on but truth falls flat.
What else can he do?

He tries to reason where there is none.
All she does is moan and pout.
Only one thing left to be done,
Cut the cancer out.

Cut the cancer out.

For my coworker.

Land Of The Dead Review

I saw this movie opening minute of course, thanks to Darren we actually ended up in Schaumburg with a theater full of some of the strangest people I've ever seen. This one drunk guy behind us wouldn't shut up the whole movie, left halfway through for a smoke, then right at the end of the movie just got up and said, "There are just some people who have to ruin the movie for everyone." Rocco and I about died laughing at that point. Needless to say it was one of the worst audiences I've ever been in, but now onto the movie itself.

SPOILER WARNING
This movie was a typical Romero horror movie, I haven't seen them all but they don't impress me that much, and I'm not a fan of the genre anyways... As far as this one goes, I thought it was funnier than scary. There were a couple shock scenes, but no real element of fear or horror underlying them. Also, half the movie wasn't even about zombies, but about the little guys fighting The Man, like any other Good Vs. Evil movie with the walking dead. As far as the ending is concerned, lets all pack up our things and head to where it is quiet.... Canada. The End. Nice, right? Darren sat through the credits telling us there would be a secret ending for the fans that stayed, too bad Romero tricked him, poor guy.
END SPOILER

Overall: 6 of 10
If you love zombies (or Romero) go see it, otherwise take a pass.

The Post To Start All Posts

This is my first post, the beginning so to speak. Not sure if I will ever post more than this, but knowing that is out there at least absolves me from the evils of laziness. As it stands, I started this to make game or movie reviews, type like no one is reading, and all the various other fun things people associate with a (we)blog. So thanks to Andy for pointing me in this direction, away from the vast conformity known as myspace. Alright, so that is that I suppose, now back to work.
